Benjamin Michael Brumley, age 67, passed into eternal rest on January 14, 2024, at the Candler County Hospital.
Mike was father to Crystal Brumley and Kimberly (Jeremy) Aldrich. He will be dearly missed by his three grandchildren, Brianna, Allison, & Cason Aldrich
Mike leaves behind one sister Elaine (Charles) Mercer, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Margie; his parents Frank and Kathryn Brumley; sister Karen Elaine; brothers Roger, Daryle, and Stephen Brumley.
Born in Vero Beach, Florida during the rise of Rock-N-Roll, he discovered his love for rock music; a trait he passed to the entire family. Mike enjoyed living by his own rules, cruising on his Harley, and creating mischief. As he got older and reined in his wild side, Mike moved to Georgia where he found the love of his life, Margie. Together, they shared 48 years of love.
Serving many roles in his life, Mike got to experience work not only as a Master Ford-Line mechanic, but he was able to experience the wild side of work being a “real-life” cowboy. It was later in life that Mike found his true passion for being a truck driver and drove many miles to support his family. Being a jack-of-all trades, Mike was able to fix anything he put his hands on, and it helped him to become a true family man.
His loving wife, Margie, his sweet angel, Crystal, and his partner-in-crime, Kimberly, lived and traveled together until they settled down in Portal, Georgia. Here Mike would help raise three grandchildren and continue to show his love and support for his family.
The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 2 pm, in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home, with Pastor Tony Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service.
