Mr. Clyde Brown, 77, of Sylvania passed from this life on July 25, 2022 under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. Born on August 10, 1944, he lived most of his life in Candler County. He was a retired over the road truck driver, a job he dearly loved. He is preceded in death by sons, Donnie and Buddy Brown. His parents, Homer Cook Brown and Pearl Hollingsworth Brown. Sister Betty Brown Boyett and brothers, J.W. Brown and Lamar Brown. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Covington Brown; sons, Robbie ( Amy) Petty, Jerome ( Karen) Petty, Jason and Michael Brown. Sisters, Kathryn Brown Cleghorn, Wilma Brown Harper, Mildred ( Larry) Mongin and Cleon ( Jerry) Brown. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lake Cemetery in Metter.
