Mrs. Frances L. Dickerson 80, of Statesboro, formerly of Metter, passed away Friday morning November 18, 2022, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. Frances was born on June 21, 1942, to Mr. Eddie Covenah and Sarah Pauline Scott. Frances loved to cook, listen to country music, and going to the beach. She absolutely loved all children, babysitting most of her adult life, for many local families. Frances loved her family dearly, "some would say to a fault", admitting her two granddaughters never done any wrong.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willie R. Dickerson, one brother L. H. Covenah and three sisters Betty, Shelby, Judy.

Frances is survived by two sons Randy (Patricia) Dickerson and David Dickerson and two granddaughters, Casey Dickerson and Whitney Dickerson; and two great grandchildren, Damian and Evan Eason. Also surviving is her sister, Diane Wilson.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, interment will follow at Lake Cemetery.
