Gary Lester Cobb, Sr., 61, of Metter, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He loved fishing and spending time with his family whenever he was able.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Corbett and Bonnett Cobb, his brothers, Don, Tommy, and Corbet "David" Cobb, and his sister, Patricia Sparks. He is also preceded in death by his four-legged best friend, Little Bit.

He is survived by his wife, Rose "Marie" Cobb of Metter, his brother, Dean (Cindy) Cobb of Metter, his sons, Gary (Lucy) Cobb of Reidsville, Chris (Tabitha) Cobb of Metter; his daughter, Heather Raposa of Colorado Springs, CO, and his grandchildren, Bryson, Halley, Paige, Gavin, Katelyn, Payton, Natalie, and Ava. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.

The funeral will be conducted on Tuesday June 27, 2023, at 2 pm., in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm., until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
