Jason
Edenfield
June 19, 1983 – July 29, 2024
Our hearts are heavy as we commemorate the life of our beloved baby brother, Jason Edenfield, who unexpectedly passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 41. Jason was cherished by all who knew him, and his endearing nickname "baby bubba" reflects the deeply treasured place he held within his siblings' hearts.
Born to the late Jimmy Otis Edenfield, Sr. and Sylvia Peebles Edenfield, Jason brought immeasurable joy to his siblings: Jimmy O. Edenfield, Jr. "Bo" of Aline, GA; Brenda Edenfield-Bell (Michael) of Vidalia, GA; Linda G. Coleman (Kenny) of Aline, GA; and Susan M. Edenfield (Michael Nease) of Vidalia, GA. He will forever be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, who were privileged to experience the warmth and laughter he so freely shared.
Jason was a man of subtle humor, always finding a way to bring a smile to the faces of those around him with his dry wit and playful banter. However, his most enduring legacy will be the simple, heartfelt phrase "I loves you" that he so genuinely expressed and that continues to echo in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to receive it from him.
Though Jason did not have his own children, his love enriched the lives of his many nieces and nephews, leaving an indelible legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
In celebration of his life, we invite family and friends to join us in honoring Jason's memory on August 3, 2024, at 2 pm at Wood Funeral Home in Metter, GA., the service will be conducted at 3pm. The remembrance will offer us an opportunity to share cherished memories and find solace in each other's company as we pay our respects to a man whose impact on our lives will endure for a lifetime.
We will forever hold dear the memories of our baby bubba, whose presence graced our lives with love, laughter, and enduring affection.
May your spirit soar in freedom
From the fears that gripped so tight.
May you find the peace you searched for
As you wandered, lost, in the night.
May your tortured mind be clear and calm
And your tender heart be warm.
May you have no need for strength now.
May there ne'er be another storm.
May the music of the angels
Be the sweet sounds that you hear.
As you're rocked in Heaven's cradle
May you ne'er shed another tear.
We'll wear your memory proudly. Our baby brother...our true friend.
May our love for you reach Heaven above
Until we meet again.
