Mr. Jessie T. Covington, 79, of Metter passed away peacefully Sunday morning March 26, 2023, at Memorial Health Universty in Savannah. Jessie was born on October 1, 1943, to James Wesley (JW) and Nellie Mae Meeks Covington. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Billy Covington.

Jessie is survived by his faithful and loving companion of 23 years, Jewell Pullum, a son Randy Covington, three daughters Regina Evans, Cynde Zorn and Connie Hodges; his loving extended family Linda Way, Judy Blalock, and Tommy Findley. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Dimpsey, Danny Ray, Jimmy, Ricky, three sisters Shelby, Faye, and Carolyn, 29 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home from 11 am until 12:30 pm. A graveside service will be conducted at The Family Farm and burial will follow at 1 pm.
