Mrs. Judith Ray Allen Hirt, 85, of Metter passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus; on the evening of April 1, 2023, with her loving family at her bedside. Judy was born on February 12, 1938, to Mr. Herbert and Myrtle Norman Allen.

Judy loved her family; her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. The door to her house was always open to her family and friends. She loved to cook and was known throughout the community for baking delicious cakes. Judy was quick to share her love and wisdom, "lessons for life", her love for her Savior, with anyone who would listen, "especially her grandchildren". Judy was a "True Southern Bell".

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Thomas Hirt, of 43 years. A son, James Miller, daughter Teresa Miller, a grandson Jacob Thomas Miller, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons Robert Miller, Rusty Miller and five daughters Sheila Miller, Tina Navarro, Jody Conner, T.J. Hirt Lanier and Candy Keels, twenty-two precious grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and sister Tammy Ryan.

The family will receive friends Friday April 7, 2023, from 12pm until 2pm, A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2pm in the Chapel of Wood Funeral Home.
