Martha Berry Norton, 76, passed away on December 7th, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Martha was born on August 3rd, 1946, to Viola Miles Berry and William Henry Berry Jr in Metter, Georgia. After Martha graduated from Metter High School, she went into the United States Air Force. After her time in the military, she went on to marry and have two children. Her eldest daughter Traci Ornella (John), and son Joey Norton (Linda).

In 1992, Martha retired from her role in Human Resources at AT&T and spent her time with her children and grandchildren.

Martha was sociable and gregarious. She loved cooking and entertaining, especially for family. Martha kept many beloved pets over the years. An animal lover all her life she was especially fond of cats. Her most beloved of all being Daisy and Milkshake.

Martha is survived by her two children Traci and Joey. Her granddaughter Sydney Ornella, and her two younger brothers Larry Berry and Jimmy Ray Berry (Kathy). As well as many nieces and nephews, friends and family, who love her and will miss her greatly.

The funeral will be conducted on Tuesday December 13, 2022, in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home, the family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 am until the service hour. Internment was at Rosemary Cemetery in Metter, Georgia.
