Mrs. Melva "Jean" Miles, 63, of Metter died Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Emory University Hospital Hospice in Atlanta. Jean was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, but most of all she was a child of God. She loved beautiful flowers and hummingbird, all of Gods creations

Jean is survived by her loving husband, of 46 years Larry Miles, sons "Bo" Larry Miles Jr. (Cassie) and Patrick Miles. Also, surviving are brothers Matthew (Angel) Miles, Paul (Ann) Miles, and sister Judy Berry. Sisters in law Betty Miles and Amanda Miles.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Marvin and Lillie Mae Arthur Miles, a daughter, Brandi Miles. Also, preceding Jean in death are brothers Billy M. Miles, Denver Miles, M.L. Miles and Murphy Miles; sister Joyce Ann Miles.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-7 pm., at Wood Funeral Home. Funeral will be conducted Monday, April 05, 2021 at 2pm. at The Anchor Worship Center with Reverends Jack and Patty Stafford and Rev. Paul Mullins officiating. Pallbearers are Jeremy Hyde, Brian Berry, David Miles, Marvin Miles, Chris Berry, Randall Miles, Ronnie Arthur, Paul McCullough.
