Obituary

Minnie Lee Lacy Tyler, 94, went to be with the Lord, on April 16, 2015 at the Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Metter, Georgia on November 30, 1920. The fourth child of five children born to Dorothy Gooding Lacy

and Perino  Lacy. She was preceded in death by her three sisters and one brother, a daughter, Carole Tyler Flowers

Rea and son-in-law Leo Rea. She attended and graduated from Metter High School. In 1940 she married Redell Sheldon

Tyler also of Metter. They shared a life together for forty years before his death in 1976. In 1954 the family moved

to Garden City, Georgia, where she lived the remainder of her life. A member of Garden City Baptist Church. She

was a loving Mother to her three children, a homemaker, and loved her home,yards, and all her plants and flowers

. Mrs. Tyler is survived by her loving son, Kenneth Redell Tyler and  daughter-in-law Melanie Tyler of Richmond Hill,

Georgia and youngest daughter, Patricia Tyler Tippins and son-in-law Larry L. Tippins of Harris Neck, Georgia. Mrs.

Tyler had three grandsons, Michael Chase Flowers, William Sheldon Flowers  both of Savannah, Georgia and Gene

Elridge Flowers of Atlanta, and Great Grandmother to three. A graveside service will be held on Sunday April  19,2015

at 2:30pm at Lake Cemetery  with Rev. Blake Hicks officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 pm. until 2:15pm

at Wood Funeral Home at which time the funeral procession will proceed to the  Lake Cemetery. Wood Funeral

Home of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
