Obituary

Mrs. Sharon Adair Buresh entered peacefully into her eternal home on August 15, 2024.

Born on October 25, 1930, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Clifford and Grace Leegard. She later relocated to New Mexico where she met her husband, Pete. Sharon was a true Proverbs 31 woman who worked alongside Pete as a Church Planter for over 45 years. She enjoyed teaching children about Jesus, along with singing duets with Pete and in the choir. She always had a Bible open on her table. She was a good bookkeeper, who managed the family businesses along with church finances.

Sharon was a loving mother to four children. When she married Pete 65 years ago, she adopted his three small children and raised them as her own. She was a loving grandmother who always remembered birthdays with cards and money.

Sharon always had a homecooked meal for anyone coming by. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, tending chickens and getting a suntan. She had a green thumb and was especially good at propagating African violets. Sharon always had a "puppy" as she called any dog, and we know she was joined in glory by her beloved Shadrach.

Sharon spent evenings crocheting and knitting beautiful afghans and dish cloths which she gifted to many. She also made yarn covered hangers which are cherished by generations of her family and friends.

Sharon was a consummate lady who was always smartly dressed with her hair done, and nails manicured. She was thoughtful and kind to everyone with a spirit of thankfulness.

Sharon was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Suzanne Ansley, brother, Cliff Leegard, and grandson, Brian T. Buresh.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Louie (Pete) Buresh Sr.; daughters Tara Ross (Tom), Tanya Turner; sons Wesley Buresh, Pete Jr. (Ann); grandchildren, Sean, Kevin, Johnna, Justin, Robert, Erin, Amber, and Amy; as well as a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Nevils Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, 1172 Nevils Denmark Road, Nevils, GA 31321.
