Mr. Surry Earl Jones  Sr., 70, of Metter died on Thursday July 30,2020 at his residence. He was a veteran of the USMC and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Nona McCullough Jones; a son Surry Earl Jones Jr.; a brother Ricky Jones and a sister Cathy Jones.

He is survived by a son, Scotty Lee ( Tiffany) Kreiser of Metter. Daughters Shelly ( Chris) Phillips of Cedar Crossing, Samantha Jones of McRea, Stephaine Lee ( Johnny) Young  of Port Wenthworth, Misty Jones and Stormy Jones. Sisters, Nancy Duckworth of Metter and Joy Camilleri.

Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 2pm. in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home with burial to follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be on Sunday August 2,2020 from 5-7pm. at Wood Funeral Home.
