On December 14, Ada Johnson (Stills) passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She was born in Bulloch County and remained a resident there most of her life.
Ada loved to fish, going to the mountains, and baseball games. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, to whom she was very close.
Ada is preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Lenora Davis, by her first husband, Roy H. Johnson, second husband, Denver Stills, a son, Bruce E. Johnson, and a son-in-law, David Sheffield.
Survivors are daughters, Martha Brown (Bobby), Deborah Sheffield, and Sandra Johnson Mingle (Mark) of Portal; a brother Pat Davis (Dot); Grandchildren - Dana Johnson Beasley (Jeff), Dustin Johnson (Savannah), Nathan Smith (Ashley), Haley Hardy (Dave), Madison Hardiman (William), Marcus Mingle (Bridget), and Curtis Mingle (Jessica). Great-grandchildren - MaKaila Johnson, Chase Smith, Carter Smith, Colby Smith, Lincoln Hardy, Kade Beasley, Harper Beasley, Hunter Mingle, Payton Mingle, Jolie Lanier, and Jase Lanier. Two nephews, one niece, and several cousins.
Pallbearers are Johnny Brown, Tony Smith, Dustin Johnson, Nathan Smith, James Deal, and William Hardiman.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday December 17, from 4pm-6pm at Woods Funeral Home in Metter Georgia.
Services will be Monday, December 18 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in the family cemetery.
