Alvin Turner Jr.

Alvin Turner Jr. passed away Saturday, Jan. 18 at his home in Brooklet, Ga. 

Alvin was born June 4, 1951. He had a blessed and joyous childhood. He graduated from Effingham County High School and obtained technical degrees from various institutions. He was a dedicated employee of various companies such as Boeing and BMW. He was a skilled handyman who could work with lock smithing, automobiles, and amateur welding. He was lovingly devoted to his family, and always eager to help when his family was in need. He enjoyed working on his classic cars and watching old westerns. 

His memory will be cherished and will be missed at future family gatherings.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Turner Sr. and Maxie Miles Turner, as well as his sister Nancy Turner. He is survived by a sister Judy Kuhns. Also surviving are his nieces, Tara Elizabeth Dunn-Ofray and Felicia Cora Lee Dunn, and nephews Ronald Lane Jr., Robert David Kuhns, and Justin Evans Dunn and great nephew Cole Ofray.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at Life Spring church: 104 Langston Chapel Rd, Statesboro, GA 30458, at 1pm. Memorial service will be held at 2pm following visitation. 

Private burial service with close family will be at Elam Cemetery in Jenkins County.
