Mrs. Betty Jean Bryant Lee age 72 of bulloch county passed to her heavenly home on
October 16,2016 surrounded by her sister Janice, nieces and nephews,at Brown's Nursing
Home, under the care in Southern Care Hospice in Statesboro, Ga.
Betty was born on October 23, 1943 to her loving parents Wilbur Cleo and Estelle Davis
Bryant of Portal. Betty attended Portal High School and after high school she worked in
the manufacturing and retail industry for many years before becoming a homemaker.
Betty had an avid love for animals, she would adopt and care for homeless animals
as they were her own. Betty also loved to crochet and travel.
Betty was of the pentecostal faith and attended Aaron Church of God through Brown's
Nursing Home where her faith and love for the Lord grew strong. She loved the Lord and
she loved her family deeply and had a heart of gold, she always forgave, never held a
grudge and never spoke negative of anyone.
Betty is proceeded in death by both of her parents, three brothers Doy, J.R. and Donald Bryant
all of Portal. Two brother in laws Kim Lane and Bill McCullough also of Portal. One Grandson
Robbie Terrell of Rincon.
Betty is survived by her youngest sister Janice Bryant Lane who assisted in her caregiving
for several years. Two daughters Wanda Terrell of Rincon and Vicky Walden of Louisville.
Six Grandchildren and several great Grands.
One sister Joyce McCullough and one brother Pat Davis both of Portal. Two close
sister in laws Diane Bryant and Patty Bryant of Portal and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Woods Funeral Home in Metter.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Roy Jarriel officiating.
