BOBBY JOE LOTT SR

Mr. Bobby Joe Lott Sr., 81, of Metter died on Saturday Dec. 3, 2016 at East Georgia

Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. He was retired from the Georgia Air National

Guard as a TSGT. with 20 years service. He also retired from the Dept. of Transportation

with 34 years service and worked at Ellis Wood Contracting for 10 years. Born in Metter, he lived here his entire life. He was a member of Metter First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and in many other capacities over the years. He was a former member of

Kiwanis and Metter Housing Authority. He was 1^st. President of the Metter Lions Club. A Mason, he was also a charter member of Willow Lake Golf Club and a member of the Metter Volunteer Fire Dept. He had perfect attendance at school for all twelve years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Gladys Turner Lott. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Juanita Colson Lott of Metter. Daughter, Penny Lott of Metter. Son, Joey ( Tammy Neal) Lott of Gainsville, FL. Brothers, James ( Marie) Lott of Greenville, S.C. and Jerry ( Shirley) Lott of Metter. Sister, Carolyn ( John) King of Marietta, S.C. Special niece, Angela Lott Carlson of

Jacksonville and her daughter, Annabelle. Special nephews, Johnnie Lott and David

( Laura) Lott and their children, Rosalyn and Turner. Special Friends, Patriel Tyler and her

family. Special pet friend-Buddy. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Dec. 6, 2016 at 11am. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Osborne, Rev. Danny Beam and Rev. Ted Paige officiating with burial to follow in Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday 5-7pm. at First Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be David Lott, Blake Hicks, Chris Deal, Sandy Hughes, Ed Warren, Dan Henderson and Jerry Paige. Wood Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
