Bobbie Jean (Barnes) Waters

Mrs. Bobbie Jean (Barnes) Waters, 84 of Metter, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at Wellstar-Augusta Medical College. She was born on December 4, 1940, to Mr. Alonzo O. and Fodia Rentz Barnes in Metter. Bobbie loved people and taking care of people, she worked at Metter Nursing Home for many years. She cherished her four children and loved her grandchildren unconditionally, they never done any wrong in Miss Bobbies eyes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eldridge C. Waters Sr. (Catfish) and 2 brothers and 7 sisters. Bobbie is survived by a son E C Waters Jr. (Tina) of Metter three daughters Rita Snipes (Kenny)of Palatka Fla. Lisa Griner (Steve) of Sylvania Ga. And Jeannie (Ralph) Wood of Metter. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday September 25, 2025, from 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted Friday morning September 26, 2025, at 11 am., in the Chapel of Wood Funeral Home.
