METTER - Mr. Charles Milton “Hammer” Flynt, of Metter, 74, died Tuesday morning June 23, 2015 at his residence after a short illness. Mr. Flynt was a veteran of The United States Army, and later retired from a lifelong career in retail sales, working in family businesses.
Mr. Flynt was preceeded in death by his parents James Cecil and Geraldean Cowart Flynt.
Mr Flynt is survived by a brother Robert Flynt and a sisiter Joyce Ann James both of Metter. Also surviving Mr. Flynt is a very close knit extended family, and many friends
Pallbearers will be Ronny Flynt, Tommy Flynt, Kenneth Flynt, Chester Flynt, M.L. Brantley, and Stanley Brantley.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 am in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Beasley presiding. Visitation will be be at 10 am the morning of the service.
