David Carl Sutton

Mr. David “Carl” Sutton, 80, of Metter, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2022, with his loving family and friends at his bedside. Mr. Carl was retired from Excelesior EMC after 25 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Mr. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Rufus and Edna Bishop Sutton, two brothers James Sutton, Randolph Sutton and a sister Burness Martin.

Mr. Carl is survived by his loving wife Martha Finch Sutton, and a daughter Debra (Bronson) Steele, three brothers, Gene Sutton, Don Sutton, Steve Sutton, two sisters, Flossienell Rigdon, Joyce Woodcock. Also, surviving Carl are grandchildren, Brandon, Chris, Courtney, Ashton, Jason, Jordan, Marie and Ethan.

The family will receive friends, on Saturday, January 08, 2022 at 1 pm until the hour of the service, the funeral will be at 3 pm in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home, with Rev. Bo Fulginiti, officiating. Burial will be in Portal City Cemetery.
