Edna (Hilderbrandt) Dowd

Ms. Edna (Hilderbrandt) Dowd 76, of Metter slipped peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, Friday evening March 03, 2023, at Community Hospice in Vidalia Ga. Edna was born on November 08, 1946, to Mr. Claude H. and Mrs. Mozell Beasley Hilderbrandt. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Claudine Durham, and a brother Raymond Hilderbrandt.

Edna is survived by a daughter Deborah (Bronson) Steele, and five grandchildren, Brandon Murdock, Courtney Murdock (David), Chris Murdock (Sarah), Ashton Steele (Mikala), and Brandon Steele. Also, surviving is three great grandchildren Layla Murdock, Little D Davant, William Davant, and two nephews, Jimbo Durham and Ray Durham.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023, from 10:00am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at Lake Cemetery at 2 pm with Rev. Johnny Beasley officiating.
