Gary Lynn Bland

Mr. Gary Bland, 64, of Metter died on July 31, 2017 at his residence under the care  of Ogeechee Area Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Julia Mae Chapman  Bland, siblings, David Bland and Infant Bland.He loved fishing, raising animals, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends and his two dogs, Smoky and Amanda.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mabelene Mock Bland of Metter. Brother, Jonny Bland of Metter. Step children, Don Arban and Ron Arban of S.C. Betty ( Denver) Miles of Millen, Donna ( Milton) Aspinwall of Statesboro and Kenneth ( Jessica) Lee Jr. of Metter. Step Grandchildren, David Miles, Amber Miles, Nicole Lee, Thomas NeSmith, Kenny Lee, Payton Lee, Candace Aspinwall,  Bubba Aspinwal and Matthew Miles Jr.. Step Great Grandchilodren, Adelyn Miles, Lainee Aspinwall, Harley Miles, Toby Aspinwall, Logan Aspinwall, Tyson Hensley, Dawson Helton, D.J. Thompson,  Savanna Thompson and  Annabella Aspinwall. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday Aug 3, 2017 at 5pm in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home  with Rev. Johnny Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends from 4pm. until the hour of the service.
