Grover Cleveland Wilson Jr.

Mr. Grover Cleveland Wilson Jr. 74 of St. Simons Island died on August 10,2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was a veteran of the U.S .Marine Corps., having served in Vietnam and received numerous service medals. His medals include, Vietnamese Campaign w/Device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry W/Palm, National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Vietnamese Service Medal w/ 1*. He was the owner of  Summerville Sports Marine in Summerville. S.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland Sr. and Mildred Ruth Duncan Wilson : brothers, Jerry and Bobby Wilson and a sister Patsy Wilson.

He is survived by his wife Emma Sapp Wilson of St. Simons Island. Son Charlie Craig, daughter Katelyn Wilson. A brother Tim ( Amanda) Wilson and a sister Denise( Jim)  Firor.

. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021at 2pm. in the chapel of Wood Funeral with burial to follow in Lake Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 1pm. until the hour of the service. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home of Metter.
