Jonathan Allen Dukes, 37, of Metter, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018.
Jon was born in Carrollton, Georgia to David Wayne Dukes and Kathy Rooks Thomas on December 14, 1980. He worked for many years as an oil rigger in northeastern Texas, heavy equipment operator at rock quarries in northwest Georgia, and most recently an automotive body technician at Metter Paint and Body. Jon was an avid car enthusiast and spent countless hours in his garage.
He was preceded in death by his father David Wayne Dukes, his older brother David Jackson Dukes, and stepbrother Jason Pierce.
Jon is survived by his son David Lee Weston Dukes, his significant other of many years Jesse D. Clifton, his mother Kathy Thomas, his twin brother Joshua Aaron Dukes, his sister Kristi Dukes Thomas, two half-brothers David Dukes and Derek Dukes, stepbrother Brian Kellam, special niece Stephanie M. Carter, and several additional nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Restoration Worship Center in Metter. An additional service will be held at a later date in his hometown of Carrollton, Georgia before internment.
Pallbearers include: Joshua Dukes, Christopher Clifton, and Frank Harris.
