Jimmy Ray Parker

Mr. Jimmy Ray Parker, 78, of Metter died Monday morning August 16, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Parker was born on September 09, 1942, in Metter to Mr. Henry and Ola Mae Crooms Parker. Jimmy Ray loved his family (especially those grandchildren) , he also loved to hunt and fish and work on sewing machines.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ola Mae Parker, his wife Nell Sikes Parker, a son Claude Loren (Pete) Hackle, a sister Janell Baker, and a brother in law Kent Campbell, a grand daughter Candy Snipes.

Jimmy Ray is survived by three daughters Grace Nowak, Paulette Brannen, and Polly Ann Morgan. One sister Margaret Campbell and two brothers Gerald  Parker and Donnie Parker. Also surviving Mr. Parker (these precious grands) Denice Burke, Chuckie Brannen, Great grands, Dalton, Colton Olliff, Savannah, Lauren, and Charlie Brannen, D.C. Burke, Caroline Burke and one Great Great grand Braxton Olliff. A very special friend Betty Sconyers.

Visitation will be  on Wednesday August 18, 2021 from 6 -8 pm at Wood Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted Thursday August 19, 2021 at 11 am at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Beasley, Scot Nowak, Jerome Parker, Slade Holloway, Dustin Mercer and Addison Bragg. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home of Metter.
