Kay Meszaros Obituary

Kay Lorayne Meszaros, a faithful and steady presence to all who knew her, passed away on November 15, 2025.

Born and raised in Michigan, Kay was the daughter of Paul Raymond Baldwin and Olive Katherine Bill. She graduated from Melvindale High School in 1960, where she proudly marched as a majorette and played in the school band. She later dedicated many years to the Michigan Department of Education, retiring as a paraprofessional working with special needs children.

In 1994, Kay moved to Metter, Georgia, to be closer to her beloved grandchildren — a decision that shaped the rest of her life. She treasured being part of their everyday moments. She was also the proud mother of three U.S. Navy veterans, a point of pride she carried throughout her life.

Kay was a longtime member of Cedar Street Baptist Church and deeply loved her Sunday school family. Her faith was a constant throughout her life, guiding her with quiet strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Suzanne Kay; her son, Cary Allen; and her siblings Marvin, Jerry, Duane, and Janice.

Kay is survived by her children Steven (Kirby) Tepfenhart, Tom (Kim) Meszaros, and Sandra (Wallace) Parker. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren — Hayden, Evan, Camryn, Alyssa, Alex, Katie, Robert, Justin, Tripp, Benjamin, Amy, and Shay — along with nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on April 25, 2026, at Cedar Street Baptist Church. Time of service to be announced later.

Kay will be remembered for her devotion to her family, the routines she valued, and the steady, faithful life she lived with grace.
