LEON HADDEN Obituary

Mr. Leon Albert Hadden Jr. 77, of Metter died on Jan. 14, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Albert Hadden Sr and Tessie Hudson Hadden. Grand parents, Claude and Lottie R. Hadden, Charlie B. Hudson and Willie Mae Merritt Hudson. Brother, Bobby Gene Hadden. Nephew, Chad M. Snipes. A graduate of Metter High School class of 1958, he served in both the Air National Guard and the Army serving in both Laos and Vietnam. After leaving the Army he worked for 22 years with the Ford Motor Company. Returning to Metter he worked at the Georgia State Prison and Candler County Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Williams Hadden of Metter. Son, Leon Allen Hadden of Metter. Daughters, Mary H. Marland of Bluffton, S.C. and Katie Hadden of Metter. Sister, Brenda ( J.M. ) Snipes of Metter. Grand children, Courtney Hadden of Savannah, Sean ( Amy) Hadden of Metter, Matthew ( Danna) Hadden of Metter and Jeremy Jones of CA. Great grandchildren, Arya Hadden, Noah Hadden and Kyleigh Hadden. Nephew, Tracy Snipes ( Billie Sue). Niece, Natasha ( Steve) Campbell. Great nephews, Ben Armas and Tanner Snipes. Great nieces Hannah Campbell and Alexis Snipes

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 at 2pm. at the Metter Church of God with burial to follow in Lake Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm. on Jan.16,2018 also at Metter Church of God. Wood Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
