MARCILE (OLLIFF) BOYD

Marcile  Boyd, 74, of Metter formally of Statesboro died on March 17, 2016 at Candler County Hospital. Born in Candler County, she lived most of her life in Statesboro. She lived at Azalea Health and  Rehab. Center in Metter for the past six years . She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Statesboro. She loved her children, her family, flowers and baskets. She was a graduate of Marvin Pittman High School in Statesboro. She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Olliff. She is survived by her mother, Pauline Olliff of Metter. Sons, Don Boyd and Scott Boyd both of Statesboro. A daughter, Lisa Boyd of Statesboro. Brother, Vinson ( Annette)  Olliff of Staesboro. A sister, Arlene ( Bobby) Anderson of Reidsville. Niece, Cindy Phillips of Soperton.  Nephew, Kenneth Olliff of Swainsboro and a grandson, Evan Boyd.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 3pm. in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home with Elder Craig Lanier officiating with burial in Rosemary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2pm. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Roesmary Primitive Baptist Church, 2946 Lanier RD. Metter, GA. 30439. Wood Funeral Home of Metter is  in charge of  arrangements.
