MARY (WILLIAMS) LANIER

Mary Elizabeth Williams Lanier, 87, of Metter died on Thursday March 9, 2017 at Candler County Hospital. She was a member of Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William “Bo” Lanier, her parents, Lonnie and Clydie Mae Ellington Williams. Brothers, Lonnie Williams Jr., Joe Robert Williams, Floyd Williams, Clyde Williams and James Alvin Williams. Sisters, Lucille Moore, Gerolene Grubbs and Margret Wilson. One Great grandchild, Benjamin Chandler Price. She was a retired seamstress. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Lanier Mercer and Janice Lanier Wells. Four grandchildren , Michelle (Jimmy) Millsaps, Cynthia ( Benjamin) Price, Angela ( David) Price and Heather ( Shawn) Calvert. and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 3pm at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the hour of the service. Wood Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of arrangements
