METTER- Ronnie D. Lanier 61 died Thursday morning at Georgia Regents Medical University in Augusta, after a short illness. Mr. Lanier lived in Metter all his life, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and truck driver.
Mr. Lanier is survived by his wife Tammy Lanier, two sons Timothy Napier (Kara) and Edward Kingery. Also surviving are three daughters Megan Napier Lanier, Maggie Leann Napier, and Michelle Lanier. Nephews Glenn Lanier, Gilbert Lanier and mother by choice, Sylvia L. Duckett also survive Mr. Lanier.
Mr. Lanier was preceeded in death by his parents G.C. Lanier and Murlene Dyches Lanier, and a brother Roger Lanier.
A memorial service will be held at a the chapel of Wood Funeral Home on Saturday June 27, 2015 at 3 pm. Family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm. Rev. Kenneth Garvin will preside over the service.
