Richard David Davitt, age 71, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Twin City, Georgia.
Richard was a native of North Jackson, Ohio, where he was raised and educated. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Field Wireman, a role that exemplified his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to service. Richard was the devoted husband of the late Lenore Stribling, with whom he shared many cherished years of marriage, and he remained steadfastly devoted to her memory.
He is survived by his children: son David Davitt of Kingsland, GA; daughter Jaclyn Tvrdik (Ron) of Kingsland, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Michael Ostoyic (Mikailah) of Kingsland, Georgia, Aaronjames Clark of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Nicholas Tvrdik (Courtney) of White Sands, New Mexico. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Everly Tvrdik, Amelia Tvrdik and Jasper Ostoyic.
Richard will be remembered for his deep love of family, his faithful service to his country, and the enduring legacy he leaves behind through generations of loved ones.
A celebration of his life service will be held at later date in Kingsland, Georgia arranged by his devoted daughter, Jaclyn.
