Robert Getzel Dekle Sr.

Mr. Robert Getzen Dekle Sr., 77, of Twin City died on Friday Feb. 3,2017 at St. Joseph's

Hospital in Savannah. He was preceded in death by his wife Harriett Smith Dekle and his

parents, Willie and Clara Morgan Dekle. He was a army veteran and a graduate of the class

of 1957 from Emanuel County Institute in Twin City. He was retired from the Emanuel

County Board of Education. He is survived by sons, Robert ( Susan) Dekle Jr. of Metter and

Hugh Allen ( Dawn) Dekle of Ellabell. Fiancee Laurie R. Sacks of Alpharetta. Grandchildren

Robby ( Mary) Dekle, John Dekle and fiancee Brooke Peebles and Emilee Dekle. Great grandchildren, Jaimie Dekle,

Caleb Dekle, Allan Dekle and Aaron Shepard. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Feb.7,2017 at 2pm. at First

Baptist Church in Twin City with Rev. Max Rodgers officiating Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be

Monday Feb. 6, 2017 from 6-8pm. at Wood Funeral Home in Metter. Wood Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of

arrangements.
