Sybil Brown, 88 of Metter, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 7th, 2026. Born to Ruth and Bennie Stalvey on December 13th, 1937, in Homerville, Georgia, she graduated from Collins High School in 1954. After graduation she met the love of her life, Bobby Brown and they were married on December 21st,1957, enjoying 60 years of life together. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bobby Brown. She is survived by her sons, Benjie (Barbara) Brown and David Brown, daughter, Debbie Markley; grandchildren, Caitlin Markley, Wes Brown, Allen Brown (Katie), B.J. Brown (Dian), Sybil Hanshew (Shane)and Sara Burgess, Mason Woodard; great-grandchildren, Logan, Natalie, Hagan, Aiden, Melody, Persephone and Harmony. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and working with her flower garden or solving word puzzle.
Pallbearers include Allen Brown, BJ Brown, Wes Brown, Hagan Brown, Bill Hardiman, Miguel Aviles, and Shane Hanshew.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning April 11, 2026, from 10 till 11am, in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted at 1pm in the chapel.
