Obituary
Walter K. (Karon) Driggers 63 of Metter, passed away, March 16, 2022, at Memorial Health in Savannah Ga. after an extended illness. He was born on March 28, 1958, to Mr. Henry Wilton and Joyce Elizabeth Cannon Driggers in Reidsville, Ga. Karon worked with The Metter Police Department for 20 plus years as a Sargeant, of The Patrol Division. He later worked for Great Dane Trailers in Statesboro.
Karon was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter Maeleigh Driggers.
Karon is survived by his mother, a daughter Celina (Geoffery) August, a son Michael (Rebecca) Driggers. Surviving siblings are brothers Lawrence (Margaret) Driggers, Bronson (Deborah) Steel and sisters Sheila (Gary) Sutton, Brenda (Kim) McElveen, Nona Steele, Angela (Dennis) Futch, and Donna (Rusty) Griffin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Haley Driggers, Tyson Driggers, Ryder Driggers, Jaylee Driggers, Selena August, Brianna August and Malachi August. Also, surviving Karon is his significant other Barbara Todd and two bonus grandchildren Shalynn Osteen and Topanga Osteen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will conduct a Memorial Service on Friday March 25, 2022, at 11:30 am., at Restoration Worship Center, in Metter, with Rev. Tony Brown officiating.
