Wood Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Wesley Rex Walker.

Mr. Wesley Rex Walker, 70 of Metter, passed away peacefully at his home on September 14, 2025. He was born on August 19, 1955, to Mr. Isaac Hilrey and Joyce Evelyn Price Walker in Laurens County, GA.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by sons Jessie Walker, Brandon Wayne Ivey and a daughter Jessica Walker. Also surviving are two brothers Frank Ackerman, Marcus (Annie Ruth) Walker and Sadie Ackerman.

The family will conduct a private memorial Service at a later date.
