Register- John William Conley, 66, died on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at

Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was born on 8-3-1949 in

Rockwood, TN. He was a retired  veteran of the U.S. Navy having

 served for 26 years. He also worked for Koyo Bearing Company

in Sylvania. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Cathy Conley of Register. 

Two children, Tammy Conley of Portal and Chris ( A.J.) Conley of

Portal. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Numerous

nieces and nephews. Funeral services with military honors will be

conducted on Friday July 22, 2016 at 3pm. in the chapel of Wood

Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 pm. until the

hour of the service at 3pm..Burial will be in the Noonday Cemetery in Emanuel county Wood Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of

arrangements.
